The Pure Grip story

Craftsmanship, sustainability and performance for climbers

Pure Grip was founded in the summer of 2025 from a simple idea that climbers deserve sustainable, local resoling without long waiting time or compromise on quality.

We extend the life of climbing shoes through expert craftsmanship, reducing waste and minimizing environmental impact.

Every resole restores grip, precision and confidence, giving climbers the performance they need for unforgettable sessions and climbing experiences on the wall or rock.

Waste less, climb more.

Sustainable resoles for stronger grip and a cleaner planet.

Pure Grip Service Policy

At Pure Grip, we are committed to delivering high-quality climbing shoe resoles using genuine materials and professional craftsmanship.
To ensure clear expectations and reliable service, the following policy applies:

1. Workmanship Warranty (30 days)

  • All resoles are guaranteed against workmanship defects (e.g. glue, stitching, sole attachment) for 30 days from the date you receive your shoes.
  • If a repair fails due to a confirmed workmanship defect within this period, we will inspect the shoes and, if the claim is approved, repair the affected area free of charge.
  • Not covered: normal wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, repairs performed after excessive wear ("too-late resoles"), cosmetic differences resulting from the repair process, or modifications performed by third parties.

The workmanship warranty applies only while the repaired sole remains within its normal service life. Once the repaired sole has reached the point where a new resole is required due to normal wear, the workmanship warranty for that repair no longer applies.

If you notice a suspected workmanship issue, please stop using the shoes and contact Pure Grip as soon as reasonably possible. Continued use after a sole has started to detach or another repair defect becomes apparent may increase the damage and require a full resole, which may not be covered under this warranty.
All warranty claims are subject to inspection by Pure Grip before warranty eligibility is determined.

Warranty coverage is limited to correcting the original workmanship defect. It does not extend to replacing components that have reached the end of their normal service life.

Climbing shoes are subjected to repeated high loads, flexing and abrasion. Normal ageing of rubber, adhesives and other materials, together with regular climbing wear and repeated flexing, is not considered a workmanship defect.

2. Acceptable Condition & Hygiene Requirements

  • Shoes must be clean and dry before sending. Remove dirt, chalk, talc, or powders inside and out.
  • Shoes with blood stains will not be accepted for health and safety reasons.
  • Shoes with holes or splits through the rand, collapsed midsoles, or severe upper tears may be rejected as irreparable.

3. Fit & Performance Disclaimer

  • Resoling naturally alters the shoe slightly. We do not guarantee that shoes will feel or perform exactly as new.
  • For best results, send shoes in before extreme wear (e.g., thinning rand or upper exposure). For reference read our reccommendations When to resole.

4. Customer Satisfaction & Feedback

  • If you are unhappy with the finish or feel of your resole, contact us within 14 days of receiving your shoes.
  • Where possible, we will make small adjustments (e.g., sanding edges, re-tensioning) at no extra cost.
  • For feedback, suggestions, or issues, please email us at resole@puregrip.se.

5. Turnaround Commitment

  • Our standard turnaround time is around 2 weeks (7-10 working days), though this may differ depending on workload and season. Please note that this is a best-effort estimate, not a guaranteed delivery timeframe.
  • If delays occur, we will notify you promptly.
  • Turnaround time: turnaround time begins once we receive your shoes in our workshop and ends when we ship them back to you. It does not include the shipping time before or after the repair, only the time your shoes spend in our care.

6. Unrepairable Shoes & Refund Policy

  • If your shoes are deemed irreparable upon arrival, we will contact you.
  • You may choose:
  • Return of the shoes (repair fee refunded; return shipping paid by customer), or
  • Environmentally responsible disposal by Pure Grip.

7. Commitment to Continuous Improvement

  • At Pure Grip, we are dedicated to continuous improvement of our resoling methods.
